Huge weekend seeing David for the first time in months. As usual David was all over me and we had a great time with his grandma and grandad too! I think we both want time just to be together though to chill and enjoy the time passing - slowly! :)

My name's Steve and I work for NCH The Children's Charity. For 3 years previously I have worked at Kids United as a playworker and continue there now as a volunteer teaching the kids computers! Most of the time however, they end up round my ankles wanting me to walk them across the floor. I love it! I've spent the last 11 years of my life bringing up my son as best I could from a distance. I escaped domestic violence but still I have ended up, despite Court orders to the contrary, having my relationship with my son stopped. I believe children deserve to be loved and that when they grow up can expect to be allowed to be parents too. I think most of society agrees with that. Yet today we find loving caring dads being painted as unsafe, being lumped in with those few males that are, yet abusive females are not treated the same way. We should stand up to bullies and protect the innocent no matter what their genders or sexuality for that matter. One rule for everyone. Only in that way will we protect all children. So for now I am going to focus on making myself stronger and in so doing spread that strength to my son. :) Peace, love and respect. Steve :)
